Non-Traditional Black and Red Christmas Cards

This year I wanted to go with a new colour scheme for Christmas and it's going to be Black and Red.  I decided this when I saw these amazing black glass Christmas tree ornaments with feathers around the top, which also come in red.  Then I realized, that the month before when I had ordered my supplies from Close to My Heart to make these cards, I had also ordered Black and Red.....It must be a sign....so Black and Red it is....my mom is going to freak....she hates black....LOL..I think I need to slip out to the local dollar store and pick up some black feather boa's for my tree as well.....

I used silver ink and Close to My Heart B1376 Wings stamp to create my back ground paper.

I used the same silver ink and Close to My Heart C1423 Captured Moments to create my popped up image which I bordered in the same red I used for the card base.

Grade 6 School Picture Layout -and my entry into two blog challenges

This layout is for my daughters school/sports& activities book. It will have a pocket page beside it to hold examples of her grade 6 work and any certificates etc. she may have received...The paper is Typeset x7139B by Close to my heart found on page 16.

Sherkston Shores has a great pool deck, with 3 pools, 2 hot tubs, water slides and a new splash pad.

The beach at Sherkston Shores is white and runs for miles, it was very overcast the day we spent at the beach so my pictures are not as bright as usual.  There are enormous sand dunes the kids love to climb and the dads love to drive the golf carts down to the beach!

Vanderfest 2011

It has been a busy summer as always, travel, cottage and camp is the name of the game!
